So we decided to do one of those things that seem like a good idea at the time ...
As many of you know we like to compete (well participate in really) in triathlons and there is a great tritathlon right near our house (well old house now, but we'll get to that) called The Columbia Triathlon. For those of you who do not know, a triathlon is a swimming, biking and then running race; Columbia is a one mile swim, 25 mile hilly bike and 6.2 mile very hilly run. Since Bonnie was unable to do this race last on account of being larger than normal around the mid section, we decided to do the race this year as a last hoo-rah before moving. Since we had to sign up last October, we did not realize that the race would be the day before the movers came to pack and move all of our stuff.
Well we did the race and in fact we did quite well. Bonnie beat her time from two years ago by over 10 minutes. So two years older, AND a new baby, yet she kicked some butt and took some names (Bryce even got to finsih the race too). Ramiro was 10 seconds slower than last year, but who is really counting.
So tri'd and a bit sore, we got up the next day and were ready for the movers. Now all our stuff is in boxes and we are living in a hotel for the next couple of days, till we head to Lia's, then California, then for the grins of it all we think we fly to the other side of the world - Thailand; for a threee year tour, a threee year tour.
So although it seemed like a good idea at the time; it was, and we are both really glad we did the race and are excited about the move.
