Height Prediction

Parents often have questions about how tall their kids will be. Although there are many methods to predict a child's future height, one that is popular is to just double their height at age 2 years. This formula uses simple linear regressions based on the Fels Longitudinal Study data, a method made popular by Prof. Harry Khamis, to make this method more accurate.

So at 35.25 inches Bryce is predicted to be 5'11". Only time will tell.

Brownie Batter

One of my favorite childhood memories is making baked goods with my mom. Most of all, I loved to lick the batter of the beater, spatula and bowl. I hope to pass that joy onto Bryce.

I think were on our way.

This Ones For G.G.

Ever since Bryce was born G.G. Ida has asked for pictures of Bryce holding Morgan. I was able to talk Morgan into a quick photo session and boy was Bryce thrilled. I am sure that Morgan is just as thrilled.

Hugs.

Happy You You

This morning we went to breakfast, took a taxi to the river pier, hopped on a boat and headed up river, took another taxi and ended up at the Bangkok Zoo. Bryce was so excited to spend his birthday with the animals he saw the "daddy Eeba (zebra)", "elfant", and "monkey noan" (monkey sleeping). This is what he said his favorite things were in the car ride home.

We had a few friends over for playgroup and then dinner and a few candles on a cupcake. Bryce sang "Happy You You", which Grandma Jane says is the best kind of happy there is. I believe he has had a fabulous birthday. Thank you to everyone for making this a special day.

Bryce is 2

Ramiro had to travel over Bryce's 2nd Birthday so we had a small get together last week. Everything was Sesame Street as it is Bryce's favorite show. I made the cupcakes for him, Elmo and Cookie Monster faces. We also had an ice cream cake with the Sesame Street band on top. That was where his two candles were.

The guests that could make it to Sesame Street.

Caution: Elephant Crossing

We rented a car and set off to see waterfalls and grab some dinner away from our hotel. This was Waterfall # 2. We only saw one, but the name was two. The kids liked it.

We hiked up the hill side and got a picture from the middle.

As we drove out we happened to see this big beauty feeding on the side of the road.

Big Doodha

We rented a car to see the island of Koh Samui and on the second day we visited the Big Buddha statue. Bryce has been saying Doodah for a few months now and thinks it hilarious to add the big to the front. He will still randomly talk about Big Doodha.

Waking the spirits by ringing the bell three times.

Koh Samui

Bryce has no fear when it comes to swimming. He was showing off his skills this past week at a resort on Koh Samui, Thailand.

We did go in the ocean too. Were having too much fun, we forgot to capture the moment.

The view from the hotel lobby.
