Triathlete In "Training"

Bryce is having a blast with the rainy season. On the 8th floor of our building we have a running track and pseudo Basketball court, it makes a great place to ride bikes and play. We let him ride his trike through the puddles. Lightning McQueen says "Speed, I am speed." This is one of Bryce's favorite quotes.

Last week Ramiro and I took Bryce for two loops of the track @ 200 M each(1/8 mile). He is a Triathlete in Training, following in mommy and daddy's foot steps. Might not have hurt that I cycled with him till I was 36 weeks gestation.

Speaking of training... Bryce is potty training and doing quite well I might add. Slept through the night sans diaper and no accidents, such a big boy.

Check out this clip of Bryce. If you can't see it go to www.mougeyfamily.blogspot.com

THUNDERBIRDS!!!

We had the Thunderbird's from Alaska here in BKK last weekend. It was a great treat to take Bryce to see them perform stunts in the F-16 Planes. This was Bryce and Ramiro's first Air Show. I was fortunate to grow up with the Blue Angels practicing in my back yard and remember the excitement I felt, every year, when the planes screamed over my house.

We had snacks and tons of water while we wait in 105 degree heat. The umbrella provided shade.

It was nice to see the excitement on Bryce's face as he screamed "THUNDERBIRD'S!" with all his might. All the Thai's turned and smiled at him and his enthusiasm.

I hope that we can see the Blue Angles one day from my parents back yard. Both Bryce and Ramiro loved the plane stunts and roar of the jets. I know this will not be the last air show.

Maa Wing, Glap, Glap

Maa wing, glap, glap is a Thai children's song that Bryce likes to sing as we gallop through the house with him on our back. In translation it is, horse running, gallop, gallop... the song goes on but for now these are the only words Bryce sings.

We took him to the local malls carnival. It is similar to carnivals set up in the parking lot or feild in the States. He loved the merry-go-round after he got the courage to sit on the deer with big ears he could grasp. We sang as spun. We were lucky enough to go three days, the fair tickets cost only about $4.50 and they gave Bryce unlimited rides on the horses along with games, slides, and several moon bounce options. Now, everyday, he asks to ride the horse. We tell him the horse rode away, we will have to wait till he comes back.
