Dino

After watching a show called Dino Dan, Bryce asked Mommy and Daddy if he could build a dino decoy.   Bryce had to show Mommy and Daddy what one was.  After showing us, Daddy’s work happened to be throwing away a big box so he brought it home.  The first step in building the dino decoy was to put the box together using big tape.  After the box was put back together, the next step was to make an eye hole so Bryce could see out.  After the eye hole, Daddy and Bryce built some hand holds to help hold the box up and made a tail.  Next Bryce painted the entire box blue (it was hard work setting up the painting area so we would not make a mess).  We had to wait a long time to let the paint dry.  While we were waiting we made a head.  We started with a box, added some newspaper to give it shape, then Bryce ripped paper and made paste for paper mache.  Once the head was made we had to let it dry (again it took long time).  After, we put the head on and painted the whole entire head blue.  Bryce painted the big box yellow to make some spots and a collar (because every pet needs a collar).  The final step was to draw the eyes, noise and legs with a black marker.  The dino decoy was complete, the only thing left was to test it and search for dinos.

Mediterranean Cruise and Spain

We took a trip this July to Spain.  We did some site seeing around Barcelona then boarded the Disney Magic for a 12 night Mediterranean cruise.  We went to France, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Malta before heading back to Spain.  When we got back to Spain we drove to the Pyreneese mountains and met up with our friends from Jordan for a a few days.  We did some rock climbing, some repelling, a hike to a waterfall and something called ferrata (where you rock climb using a cable and harness system).  Even the kids joined in.  Then we went to Montserrat (a beautiful set of mountains in Spain) with small towns that looked like they belong in a medieval Europe) for some additional climbing before heading back to Jordan.  A great time was had by all.  In no particular order here are some of the pictures we took.
