Visit Virginia

We came to Virginia to visit Lia and the boys, Kyle and Brandon.  We went to eat at Thai food.  We get to borrow Chris's Civic Hybrid.  We need a 2nd car till we leave and this was an option since Chris is in Iraq.  We sold Ramiro's car and the move to Bangkok is starting to feel more real.
Next step is to start sorting our belongings into groups.  Short term stuff we need immediately, air freight, boat freight/ car and stuff we want or shall I say don't want for 3 years.  I now have a better understanding of what we might take.  We received pictures of what the new place is going to look like.
The condo has a kitchen, dinning room, living room, family room/ den, bar, Three bedrooms and maids quarters. We will be living on the 23rd floor.  The apartment building has a spa, gym, lap pool, track and child care center for 1 month to 5 years.  It is nice.  Fully furnished.  It has hardwood floors and lots of shelf space.  I don't have a lot of display items.  I guess I will be able to get a few decorative items.

Bonnie's Clyde's 10k

Today my neighbor Ellie and I ran in our first race post babies. Our babies are one month apart and we have both been anxiously trying to get out and exercise. Our husbands have been very supportive. Columbia Striders Clyde's 10 k, in downtown Columbia. A hilly run that loops around the mall and past the apartments that Ramiro and I lived in when we meet. Both Ellie and I felt great post race and were happy to finish. I actually did better than the last time I ran the race 3 years ago. Go me!!

Swimming Lessons

Bryce loves to swim. We have been taking him to the YMCA for lessons and he is really enjoying himself. We have meet many other babies and their moms. Bryce practices back and front floating, kicking, blowing bubbles, will go under the water and come up with out any fuss. We sing the babies songs as we swim. We are glad to start him early, getting him ready for the summer.

Running with Shades

Today Bryce and I enjoyed a run at Centennial Lake. Our gracious neighbors lent us a running stroller. Bryce seemed to like the smoothness of the stroller. I could tell since he slept most of the run. We are training to do the Columbia Triathlon. It is much harder for both Ramiro and I to train. We usually go in shifts. Ramiro ends up running at work where he has a few co-workers to run with. In December we would like to do Tri-Thai. Anyone care to join us?
