Areesa Reads Mom a Bedtime Story

Areesa said " Hold on, mom, I need to get my mask AND my book."
Mask is not new at all, just a radom good idea.
Why didn't I think of that?
Then she read me the story.  Not really, but I liked her version better.  Especially, when she asked me, "what happens next?", before turning each page.

Stay Puff vs Olaf

Areesa requested an Olaf snowman.  Ramiro made a great big snowman with a cute Olaf face.  She was upset that he was so big.  We renamed him stay puff.  He is about 5'10".
The kids return to school today.  Late start at 11a, due to overly icy conditions before 10a.  Government in JO closed roads from 6p till 10a.

Snow day - take three...

As we started day three of snow here in Amman the kids went to play.  Overnight the apotasaurus (aka a brontosaurus) slide took shape and the kids had fun riding the Dino and catching snowflakes.  Reese insisted on cleaning up the walkway as well.

Amman Snow day

Snow did finally arrive in Amman.  The kids school was closed.  However, we were asked to do homeschool.  So we had art class, math, reading and the older kids wrote letters to the main characters in the book, they read.  Of course several outdoor PE breaks, ie. Snowball fights.  We also received laser tag from the 3 kings, it is a great snow day activity.

Cowboy, Ninja, & Bear

Bryce likes to play Cowboy, Ninja, Bear.  A more interactive game than rock, paper, scissors.  There is a cute story, The Legend of Ninja, Cowboy, Bear, by David Bruins and Hilary Leung, of how the game came to be.  Here is Bryce in action.
