Mae Lid

I have spent the past two weeks working with the lovely people in Mae Lid, at a hill tribe school, in the north of Thailand.  Their warm hospitality and friendly smiles keep me coming back.  I enjoy doing dentistry with smiles on wings.

On The Menu

Sometimes foreign menus come up with surprise names.  Here are a few funny names.

"Carlic"

I was helping a friend find powdered garlic.  After a while of searching we finally found it, Under C for "carlic".

Back in Thailand

I have returned to Thailand, to work in dentistry in the northern hill tribes, specificly Maelid.  Food is a big part of life that we miss in Thailand.  I plan to eat my way through the next few weeks.  Today I tried "barking deer" a delicious deer meat dish.
We stopped at a national forest to enjoy a hike and the views on our way up to the north.
Small piles of rocks stacked neatly upon each other.
