2010 World's Fair in Shanghai China

While in Shanghai we were told that the World Expo (a.k.a. the World's Fair) was going on. We were able to take a day and went to check it out. It was pouring rain so we figured the crowds would be down - no not so much. We were there with about 300,000 of our closest, pushiest Chinese friends. We discovered (after waiting two hours) that going inside the different pavilions was not really worth it as what was inside was a short film about that country and a stamp with that country's logo (many were getting this in their passport).

So here are some of the different pavilions. I do not remember which one is which country for all of them.

Singapore

New Zealand

Russia

UK during the day

UK during the night

Korea

Spain

I guess you gotta have one flying saucer at each Expo

Tibet

UEA

Turkmenistan

Israel

China

The Pearl in Shanghai (not part of the Expo, but neat anyway)
